It has been a highly charged, challenging time over the last three months for me. I have started a new job at an unfamilar university in terms of how to get things done, getting to know the learning management system, and working with my new colleagues. I have had my ups and downs, and a very tight deadline. Overall, I have worked with fantastic teachers, professional staff, and administrators at Swinburne University in order to get the new Industry Study Tour ready for the Future Leaders Program that will be heading to China on the 23 of November, 2015. We have 23, very gifted students who will be led during their “in-country” experience by Dr Mark Finn: through an amazing and interesting itinerary, which is full of wonderful employability skill development opportunities for our students. The learning is ready people! I am ready too. I’m pretty sure that the students are very keen to get started. Our first pre-departure Workshop (1) is organised and the agenda is packed. We may find it difficult to get through everything. But, I am confident at the end of the day that we will have fun. Isn’t that the best way to learn! Bring it on.
